About We Wired-Up

Built to protect what other installers walk away from

We started as two ordinary guys; a qualified and an experienced banker, teaming up with a skilled electrician, with a common interest which was to sell and install prepaid meters in townships like Tembisa, Soweto and Midrand. We grew into the company South African property owners call when they need their utility infrastructure to simply work — permanently.

Our Story

From a bakkie and a toolbox to a national utility partner

In 2018, "Founder/Ex-Employee of Standard Bank" Mr Dumisane Soli-ka-Mgcina with his friend Thami-the-electrician, they kept hearing the same complaint from landlords across Gauteng: the meter was installed, the invoice was paid, and then nobody answered the phone again. Tenants bypassed meters. Boards went unlabelled. Revenue quietly leaked away.

We Wired-Up Pty. Ltd. was founded to close that gap. Not by installing faster or cheaper, but by refusing to treat handover as the end of the relationship. We built monitoring into every meter, inspections into every contract, and accountability into every job card.

When load shedding reshaped the market in 2021, we added a solar division under the same principle. A PV system that nobody services is a depreciating roof ornament. A PV system that is monitored, cleaned and serviced is an asset. We only build the second kind.

Today our teams operate across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape, managing thousands of metered units and megawatts of installed solar systems with the same conviction we started with.

Our Mission

To protect the utility infrastructure of every property we touch — through engineered installation, continuous monitoring and maintenance that never lapses.

Our Vision

To be recognised as South Africa's most trusted property utility management company: the standard other installers are measured against.

Why We Exist

Because property owners deserve a partner who is still accountable in year five. Utility infrastructure fails quietly, and someone has to be watching.

Core Values

Six commitments we are willing to be held to

01

Accountability

We put our name on the board. If something we installed fails, fixing it is our problem, not yours.

02

Technical Integrity

We size systems to your real load, not to the invoice we would like to write.

03

Transparency

Itemised quotes, honest payback modelling and no surprise line items after acceptance.

04

Safety First

Zero-compromise compliance with SANS and OHS Act requirements on every single site.

05

Long-Term Partnership

We are structured to still be servicing your property in ten years, not chasing the next install.

06

Local Commitment

South African teams, South African conditions, and skills development that stays in the country.

Health & Safety

Full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act on every site. Documented risk assessments, height-work certification for rooftop crews, full PPE, and the explicit authority for any technician to stop an unsafe job without consequence.

Community Impact

We run a funded apprenticeship intake each year, prioritise local hiring in the communities we work in, and donate backup lighting and small solar installations to schools and clinics in areas we service.
